Kimberly Hoffman
Illustrator
Los Angeles, California
Growing up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Kimberly Hoffman now calls Los Angeles home with her husband, three kids and two cats. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Design Communication. Her day job for the past 20 years has been clicking a mouse designing print materials for a variety of clientele, but her passion is traditional pen to paper creating illustrations. Rooster 99 is her second children’s book, while her first book was a story about a boy’s admiration of a fireman. As a child, she constructed her own private drawing space stowed away in her bedroom closet, complete with a handmade light board courtesy of her dad. Rooster 99 is dedicated to her mom who was thrilled with the initial sketches of Rootie, but did not get to see the final book in completion.
